Rooted in Community. Focused on Care.
For more than 30 years, Clayton Seniors Housing Corporation (CSHC) has been a pillar of support for older adults in Clayton, Ontario. Our Linn Bower Apartments provide safe, affordable housing in a close-knit rural setting where seniors feel respected, supported, and at home.
Today, as a proud member of the Lanark Community Alliance, we continue to honour our founding vision—delivering housing with heart, right here in the community that built us.

Our Story
Founded by dedicated community volunteers and supported by local organizations like the Clayton Women’s Institute, CSHC was born from a shared desire to care for our elders. From kitchen table planning to provincial grants, what began as a dream in the late 1980s became a reality in 1995, when Linn Bower officially opened its doors.
“We’re proud of our roots—and even prouder of where we’re going.”
What We Offer
25 Seniors’ Apartments
Peaceful, well-maintained housing for independent older adults, including 13 rent-geared-to-income units.
Transparent, Accountable Governance
Now supported by the Lanark Community Alliance, CSHC benefits from professional financial oversight and shared leadership—while remaining its own legal entity.
A Place to Belong
Our tenants are more than residents—they are neighbours, friends, and part of a caring community built on trust and respect.
Expansion Project
Coming Soon: Growing Our Impact
Big things are on the horizon at CSHC!
We’re exploring exciting expansion options for Linn Bower Apartments—so we can welcome more seniors into the safe, affordable, and caring community we’re known for.
More housing. More connection. The same heart. We’re working with our partners to bring this next chapter to life—stay tuned!

Because everyone deserves a place to call home.
Stronger Together: Part of the Alliance
By joining the Lanark Community Alliance, CSHC now stands alongside Carebridge Community Support and Community Living Lanark County—non-profit leaders working together to improve lives across Lanark County. This partnership allows us to focus on our mission while gaining strength from shared governance, operational support, and collective impact.
“The addition of CSHC strengthens our collective capacity to serve the community.”
— Lorne Heslop, Chair, LCA Shared Board of Directors
